TruffleLive Community Standards
Last revised: September 2021
Welcome to trufflelive!
This is a place to express, create, share and connect. We want to harness the
power of a global community of people that feel good and safe about expressing
themselves when posting content, broadcasting videos, messaging each other and
even when simply consuming content!
Creativity and personal expression matter most to us, but we also want to make
everyone feel at home. Understand that here you are free to be yourself, as
long as you do it legally and do not harm other people's rights in the
process.
As such, these Community Standards, in addition to our Agreement, provide some
clarification on what you should not post, share or promote. Violation of
these standards may result in your account and/or content being removed or
suspended.
You should not broadcast, post, share, or promote any of the following
content:
Harassment, Bullying, or Hateful Speech
-
Discriminatory or hateful remarks towards gender, religion or faith, race or
ethnicity, age or disability, physical appearance, or sexual orientation is
forbidden;
-
Altering images of another individual shared with intent to publicly shame
or bully is not permitted;
- Profanity intended to hurt another individual is not permitted;
- Blackmail or harassment of any kind is not permitted;
-
Endangering minors, including but not limited to inappropriate comments made
in a live broadcast, are not permitted.
Intellectual Property and DMCA
-
Broadcasting or posting of content that infringes a third party’s copyrights
and/or trademarks is forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to
broadcasting professional sporting events, concerts and cinematic
presentations, as well as sharing other user's broadcasting content,
television shows, movies, content from other websites, pictures, etc.;
-
Before broadcasting, ask yourself if the content is original and if you are
authorized to broadcast. Search for signs in places that might indicate you
are not allowed to broadcast, but mostly use your good sense;
-
Avoid using copyrighted background music, as it will inevitably cause a
copyright complaint;
-
You should only share content that you own, or that you are otherwise
authorized to share. We encourage you to assess your content for adherence
to applicable intellectual property laws and the proper application of
principles such as fair use, and to secure all appropriate rights needed,
before sharing your content. Any unauthorized content you share may be
subject to a takedown. Multiple violations may lead to a permanent
suspension of your account.
Respect Other People's Rights and Privacy
-
Avoid filming other people without their approval or consent, even if
implicit. Make sure they understand that they are being filmed and that it
will be broadcasted live;
-
Do not invade the privacy of others. It is prohibited to share content that
may reveal private personal information about individuals, or their private
property, without permission;
-
Do not post content or information that would violate your employer’s
internal policies.
Violence, Self-Mutilation or Self-Destructive Behavior
-
Encouraging any form of physical violence against an individual or any group
of people, including threatening or promoting terrorism is strictly
forbidden. We will carefully review any reports of threats;
- Self-mutilation and/or bodily harm, or animal abuse is forbidden;
-
Any activity that may endanger your life or lead to your physical harm is
prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: suicide threats,
intentional physical trauma, illegal use of drugs, illegal or dangerous
consumption of alcohol, and dangerous or distracted driving.
Impersonation
-
Pretending to be another individual with the intent to deceive others is
forbidden;
-
Using a 3rd party trademark in a manner that may mislead or
confuse is forbidden.
Criminal Activities
-
Predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading
privacy, revealing other people’s personal information, and inciting others
to commit violent acts are taken very seriously. We report any sexually
predatory behavior to the competent authorities for further criminal action,
and intend to fully cooperate with authorities in such cases;
-
Violence or harm towards people, businesses, property, or animals is not
permitted;
-
The use or display of drugs and/or drug related paraphernalia is not
permitted;
-
The promotion of illegal products or services including, but not limited to,
counterfeit goods and illegal drugs is forbidden;
-
The sale or promotion of goods that you are unauthorized to sell, including
but not limited to, pharmaceutical products and services and tobacco
products is not permitted.
Nudity or Sexualized Content
- Nudity and sexually suggestive content and/or behavior is forbidden;
-
The offering of sexual services (including escort services and/or filmed
sexual activity) is forbidden.
Dress Code for Broadcasters
-
Lingerie, panties, see-through garments, fishnet stockings, or any clothing
that is sexually suggestive is prohibited;
- Swimsuits are only allowed in pools or nearby outdoor waters.
Content Labeling
-
Help us and other users by accurately labeling your content to the best of
your ability. When choosing a category or tag, please choose whichever best
describes your content.
Reporting Abuse
Because trufflelive is a community, we rely heavily on all of your support and
we welcome you to report any content or activity that you believe may be in
violation of our Community Standards. If you come across any such abusive
content or activity, please report the activity to us via email at: help@Trufflelive.com
or using the dedicated reporting button.
Remember to include a brief description of the violation and also a screenshot
showing the offender’s username and the abusive content or activity.
Government authorities may also sometimes ask us to remove content that
violates local laws, but does not violate our Community Standards. If we find,
after careful legal review, that the content is illegal under local law, then
we may choose to make it unavailable in that specific country or territory.
Please also keep the following in mind:
-
We reserve the right to take discretionary action at any time if we believe
that any activity on trufflelive violates any of the Community Standards
outlined above. Remember, not all disagreeable or disturbing content
violates our Community Standards. trufflelive reserves the right to allow
sensitive content when it is deemed to be artistic, educational, scientific
or newsworthy, so reporting potentially abusive content doesn't guarantee
that it will be removed because it may not in fact violate our Community
Standards, in our discretion.
-
We take your reports seriously, and in most cases, will rely upon you for
information about why a broadcast, user account, or user activity may be
violating our Community Standards. Therefore, if you report any abusive
content, please also tell us why you think that content should be removed
(e.g., does it involve sexual, illegal, or violent activity?).
-
Note that our review decisions may change from time to time, after receiving
additional context about a specific broadcast, user account, or user
activity, or after seeing new, violating content appearing in a broadcast or
on a user account page.
-
The penalty for violating our Community Standards may vary, in our sole
discretion, based on the severity of the violation, and the user’s
history on trufflelive. For example, we reserve the right to issue a warning
for a first violation, with continued or more severe violations resulting in
a user’s suspension (e.g. temporarily restrict a user’s ability
to broadcast, or view or comment on a trufflelive broadcast) or permanent
ban from trufflelive.
